Responsibilities
- Assist in aspects of business origination, including pitches and presentations to help sell work.
- Operate in a transaction environment under tight M&A timeframes.
- Take responsibility for core aspects of client delivery, supporting the engagement manager.
- Advise on the impact of merger and acquisition transactions on the finance function and across CFO priorities.
- Understand and advise on integration challenges, separation challenges, and change in ownership.
- Provide analytical and advisory skills across the deal lifecycle, focusing on operational due diligence and value creation, including P&L optimisation, maturity assessments, and designing models for scale and cost out.
Requirements
- Experience from working in transactions, finance, or audit functions as a consultant with a Big 4 or Management Consultancy firm, or industry experience in core Finance areas (e.g., FP&A, Financial Control, Commercial/Operational Finance Business Partnering, CFO).
- Qualified accountant (ACA, CIMA, or internationally recognised equivalent finance qualification).
- Strong academics and interpersonal skills.
- Capability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Experience as part of a change program in a previous role.
- Skilled in decision making.
- Ability to demonstrate analytical skills.
- Project Management skills.
