About the Role
This role is an exciting opportunity to work with experienced analysts to create engaging MI that tells the story of our business. You will partner with functions to shape their domains and provide thought leadership on MI design, aiming to reduce the time teams spend finding information and maximize their decision-making capability. You will have the opportunity to drive new methodologies in MI design and visualization to deliver easier-to-understand, fit-for-purpose MI and build "playbooks for performance" to educate teams on measuring performance.
Responsibilities
- Create the right design for performance and reporting, ensuring necessary performance metrics are working and connected.
- Build automation from trusted data sources using data governance standards.
- Choose appropriate platforms for data consumers.
- Ensure data availability, scalability, and accuracy through data governance.
- Partner with Product to ensure data readiness for new platform functionality.
- Automate monitoring of connections and address issues when they arise.
- Build reusable views of performance tailored to different organizational levels.
- Develop processes for regular data aggregation to generate reports, dashboards, and visualizations.
- Deliver accurate and automated regulatory reporting in partnership with the central Regs team.
- Extract insights and build narratives with limited support, conveying information adapted to the audience.
- Present work in an engaging way to an audience.
- Review others' work and provide feedback to junior members.
- Lead collaborative sessions such as meetings and workshops.
- Communicate clearly and listen to others.
- Review priorities to ensure maximum impact on business goals.
- Identify opportunities to improve customer experience through data utilization.
- Understand company strategy and how team and individual work aligns with it.
- Challenge priorities for alignment with team strategy.
- Contribute to team strategy and vision.
Requirements
- 1-3 years of experience in a similar role.
- Broad experience of team working and cross-functional engagement.
- Comfortable telling the story of performance at a senior leadership level.
- Ability to construct narratives based on data analysis to communicate insights and recommendations.
- Passion for creating new insights through MI.
- Ability to enhance analytical capabilities by providing training and support.
- Love solving complex data problems and making a difference through collaboration.
- Ability to perform analytical deep dives on business issues.
- Ability to extract insight from data and clearly explain its meaning.
- Ability to apply appropriate tools and methods to achieve the best outcome.
- Keen to develop own skills and ways of working.
- Fluent with advanced SQL features including analytic/window functions, CTEs, subqueries.
- Good understanding of performance/processing concepts including normalization, indexing, transactions, locking, and partitioning.
- Knowledge of different error handling techniques, including dealing with complexity issues.
- Ability to build a narrative through multiple visualizations that clearly present important information and outcomes.
