About the Role
This role supports the company strategy by driving business through personalized customer experiences and events, focusing on planning, budgeting, and corporate liaison.
Responsibilities
- Act as the primary liaison between store-based Area Marketing Directors and Vendors/Merchants in the planning and execution of In-Store Events/Experiences
- Becomes a voice of innovation and creativity in our approach with in-store events and experiences. Draws inspiration from culture, customers, and other industries.
- Oversee and administer the tactical process of aligning merchant/vendor event requests with specific store strategies and needs
- Own budgeting, funding approvals, expense forecasting, and ROI tracking for Store Marketing and Charity Budgets
- Uphold, Enhance, and Audit the Saks Brand Standards in all that we do
- Partner with the Saks Limitless Team (VIP customers) as needed on high-level Top Customer travel, events, experiences
- Attend and support highest level events in the US and Canada as necessary
- Manage the event concepting and planning process as well as client acquisition and retention efforts with the AMDs through strategic event marketing for all Saks full-line stores
- Liaise with merchant team, vendor community and local store marketing team on creative development and execution of successful events
- Ad hoc responsibilities as needed
Requirements
- Strong business and financial analysis skills.
- Relevant event experience in fashion, entertainment or retail industries.
- Ability to manage several projects at one time in an organized and highly effective manner.
- Strong sense of urgency and an ability to problem solve are also critical.
- Proven ability to develop and execute strategic plans.
- Strong retail math acumen.
- Demonstrated managerial and leadership skills.
- Strong communication/negotiation skills.
- Ability to develop strong relationships across all levels of organization.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Google Docs.
