About the Role
As a Senior Product Designer, you will shape the user experience of products that help the construction industry work smarter, more efficiently, and more digitally. You will lead the end-to-end design process for a product line, combining hands-on user research, Lean UX, design systems, and mobile app design for iOS and Android. Your work can help shape the digital future of one of the world’s most important industries.
Responsibilities
- Spearhead the end-to-end design process for the assigned product line across web and mobile, from research and ideation to prototyping, user testing, and final implementation.
- Collaborate with the design system team to maintain and expand the design system, ensuring consistency and scalability across the product line, our mobile apps, and the wider ecosystem of our SaaS platform.
- Utilize in-depth knowledge of Lean UX principles to conduct workshops that ensure shared understanding for the team, ensure business problems get solved in a way that meets users' needs, and iterate and refine designs quickly, incorporating user feedback and data-driven insights into the product development lifecycle.
- Own the end-to-end user research practice for the product line: plan and conduct regular interviews, surveys, contextual inquiries, and on-site or remote observation directly with customers to uncover their behaviours, pain points, and motivations.
- Proactively build and maintain relationships with key customers to enable continuous research access.
- Use research insights to inform design decisions and enhance the overall user experience.
- Collaborate with the product team to consolidate findings, identify patterns, and turn them into actionable recommendations for the design team.
- Plan and conduct usability testing sessions to validate design decisions, using the results to make informed design improvements.
- Create interactive prototypes and set up usability tests to gather quantitative and qualitative feedback directly from customers, guiding iterative design improvements.
- Work closely with the product team to interpret event tracking and product analytics data using tools such as Fullstory and UserPilot.
- Use data to identify user behaviour patterns, uncover pain points, and optimize user flows, contributing to data-driven design decisions.
- Work closely with product managers, developers, and other stakeholders to align design strategies with business goals, ensuring a seamless integration of design with engineering and product development.
Requirements

- Experience using Useberry / Ballpark - or similar usability testing tools - for conducting usability testing and gathering user feedback on interactive prototypes.
- Ability to collaborate with the product team to interpret event tracking and product analytics data (e.g., from Fullstory or UserPilot) and incorporate insights into the design process.
