About the Role
Wood Mackenzie is seeking an enthusiastic, talented, and ambitious sales professional to join our growing Power & Renewables Sales team. This role partners with Account Management and New Logo Sales teams to identify and grow Power & Renewables solutions within existing and new customer bases. The Product Sales Specialist (PSS) will assist the sales team in achieving targets and ensure knowledge transfer across the business, contributing to ambitious growth targets.
Responsibilities
- Develop a deep understanding of Wood Mackenzie’s Power & Renewables solutions and their value in customer decision-making.
- Maintain a strong understanding of regional power markets and global/regional renewables.
- Act as an internal ambassador for the Power & Renewables business, supporting communication of product enhancements and market developments.
- Represent Wood Mackenzie at industry events, conferences, webinars, and customer meetings as a subject-matter expert.
- Partner with Account Management to identify and develop new commercial opportunities within existing customer accounts.
- Collaborate with New Logo Sales teams to support new business opportunities across the sales cycle.
- Deliver product demonstrations and value-based presentations.
- Build trusted advisor relationships with stakeholders across various energy industry sectors.
- Develop, maintain, and own a sales plan for your territory, identifying key growth markets and strategic accounts.
- Collaborate with internal teams to build and execute account strategies for sustainable revenue growth.
- Maintain an accurate pipeline and opportunity forecast within CRM systems.
- Work closely with Product and Research teams to shape the Power and Renewables product development roadmap.
- Act as the voice of the customer internally, ensuring solutions evolve with market needs.
- Support the launch and commercial adoption of new Power and Renewables services, datasets, and workflow solutions.
Requirements
- Significant experience in client-facing, pre-sales, business development, account management, consulting, or solution specialist roles.
- Strong knowledge of power, renewables, natural gas and LNG markets, including market fundamentals, commercial dynamics, trading, investment, or strategic planning processes.
- Experience engaging with financial institutions, natural gas producers, utilities, midstream and infrastructure operators, and a strong understanding of their commercial, strategic, and investment workflows.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate complex market analysis and data-driven insights to commercial and technical audiences.
- Proven commercial track record supporting revenue growth and acting as a trusted subject-matter expert with customers.
- Self-motivated, energetic, and results-oriented, with a strong focus on delivering customer value.
- Proven ability to collaborate effectively across multiple internal teams to achieve commercial success.
- Strong organizational, planning, and prioritization skills with the ability to manage multiple opportunities simultaneously.
