About the Role

POP MART is seeking an In-Store Flagship Visual Merchandising Manager to oversee the visual presentation of the new London Flagship Store. This role involves hands-on execution, team leadership, and commercial awareness, translating global VM direction into a brand-consistent environment while training the store team on visual standards.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct pre-opening window and store checks, ensuring impeccable standards before opening.
  • Check VM standards and product placement across all categories, updating displays as needed.
  • Plan and execute larger VM moves, including department updates, rotations, and new launches.
  • Empower the store team to share responsibility for maintaining VM standards.
  • Oversee product displays and stock presentation, ensuring consistent representation.
  • Ensure the closing team completes a VM checklist for display resets.
  • Manage VM prop inventory, including stocktaking and organization.
  • Communicate with the Regional Visual Merchandiser regarding product newness, shortages, and improvement suggestions.
  • Conduct regular floor walks with management to review standards and discuss visual strategy.
  • Lead VM training for new store team members and provide ongoing guidance.
  • Lead preparation for seasonal launches in partnership with regional and head office VM teams.
  • Install new window displays and product launches, updating in-store displays post-launch.
  • Localize global and regional VM direction for the flagship store and UK audience.
  • Analyze customer engagement and sales data to refine display effectiveness.
  • Support new store openings and marketing events in the UK network as needed.
  • Maintain strong communication with management regarding VM standards, product newness, shortages, and visual opportunities.
  • Be available to work flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and occasional overnight shifts.

Requirements

  • Tertiary qualification in Visual Merchandising, Retail Design, Event Setup, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of proven experience in visual merchandising within a fast-paced, high-footfall retail environment.
  • A strong portfolio demonstrating creative, brand-aligned display concepts and spatial planning.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, with a hands-on approach to daily store presentation.
  • Confident communicator, able to lead and train store teams and collaborate across multicultural, cross-functional teams.
  • Comfortable making fast, confident VM decisions in response to a changing shop floor.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple visual priorities.
  • Strong understanding of visual merchandising principles, product presentation, styling, spatial planning and customer experience.
  • Genuine passion for visual merchandising, designer toys, collectibles, IP-led brands and creative retail experiences.
  • Ability to translate global and regional VM direction into consistent and engaging in-store execution.
  • Commercial awareness and the ability to use customer observations, trading patterns and sales data to refine visual merchandising decisions.
  • Willingness and flexibility to work early, late, weekend or overnight shifts around launches and major visual changes.
  • Willingness to travel to other UK locations as required.
  • Comfortable with the physical requirements of the role, including lifting, carrying, moving and installing merchandise, props and VM materials.
