About the Role

As an Avaloq Key Account Lead within the Synpulse UK Banking practice, you will lead business development with UK banks and wealth managers using Avaloq. You will combine market development, strategic account leadership, and Avaloq expertise to originate and convert opportunities, expand relationships, and position Synpulse as a trusted partner for platform transformation, implementation, migration, testing, release upgrades, managed services, and change-the-bank initiatives. You will coordinate virtual sales, bid, and delivery teams across the UK and Synpulse’s international Avaloq network.

Responsibilities

  • Develop the UK Avaloq market by identifying, qualifying, and converting opportunities with UK private banks, wealth managers, and other financial institutions using Avaloq.
  • Build a sustainable pipeline from initial engagement through proposal, negotiation, and contract close.
  • Own strategic client relationships by building trusted, long-term relationships with senior business, operations, and technology stakeholders.
  • Understand client priorities and translate them into relevant Synpulse propositions and measurable client outcomes.
  • Grow existing accounts by identifying cross- and upselling opportunities across Avaloq transformation, implementation, migration, architecture, integration, testing, release upgrades, application management, and managed services.
  • Lead bids and proposals by shaping opportunity strategy, value propositions, solution scope, commercials, and delivery models.
  • Coordinate responses to RFPs and other client requests and lead senior pitch situations.
  • Mobilize virtual teams by bringing together the right sales, subject-matter, bid, and delivery capabilities from the UK and Synpulse’s international Avaloq network.
  • Establish clear ownership and maintain momentum without relying on formal line authority.
  • Connect sales and delivery by remaining engaged through mobilization and delivery, supporting effective handovers, monitoring client satisfaction and commercial health, and helping address risks or escalations early.
  • Strengthen market visibility by representing Synpulse at relevant industry and Avaloq events.
  • Develop executive-level points of view and campaigns, and use market intelligence to create demand and open new relationships.
  • Develop differentiated offerings by translating UK client needs and market feedback into repeatable propositions and packaged services.
  • Refine positioning and go-to-market plans with consulting, technology, and product teams.
  • Manage commercial performance by maintaining accurate pipeline and account plans, providing clear forecasts, and contributing to revenue, margin, and growth objectives.
  • Build capability and community by sharing market and Avaloq knowledge, coaching colleagues involved in pursuits and accounts, and contributing to the growth of the UK Banking and wider Avaloq practices.
  • Shape the UK office through participating in internal initiatives (CSR, DE&I, recruitment, marketing).

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience in business, finance, technology, engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Relevant sales, account management, project management, or consulting qualifications are essential.
  • A strong track record in client development, strategic account leadership, or consulting sales within banking technology, core banking, or wealth management.
  • Hands-on exposure to Avaloq programs or services, with sufficient functional, technical, or delivery understanding to engage credibly with client executives and specialists.
  • Experience originating and converting complex consulting or technology opportunities and leading proposals, RFPs, and senior client presentations.
  • Experience building relationships across business, operations, technology, and procurement and navigating complex buying environments.
  • Experience coordinating multidisciplinary and geographically distributed teams through pursuit, mobilization, and delivery.
  • Full professional fluency in English is essential.
  • The successful candidate must have the right to work in the United Kingdom.

Skills

  • Credible knowledge of the Avaloq ecosystem, delivery lifecycle, and the priorities of UK private banking and wealth management firms.
  • Strong business development and account management capability, including opportunity qualification, consultative selling, negotiation, and closing.
  • Executive presence and excellent communication, facilitation, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to influence senior stakeholders and build trust quickly.
  • Ability to connect client strategy and pain points with practical, outcome-led propositions spanning business, operations, and technology.
  • Commercial acumen, with confidence in shaping scope, delivery models, pricing, forecasts, and margin-aware decisions.
  • Structured, entrepreneurial, and self-directed working style.
  • High energy, resilience, and a bias for action.
  • Collaborative leadership across matrixed, international teams.
  • Ability to align specialists and delivery colleagues without formal authority.
