About the Role

We are seeking an Investment Manager - Transactions & Financial Analytics to join our team in Berlin or Dauerthal. You will evaluate investment projects, structure equity and debt financing, and create the foundation for sound investment decisions using modern financial and data models. Our mission is to sustainably generate renewable energy to keep the Earth habitable.

Responsibilities

  • Accompany investments and transactions for wind, photovoltaic, and other renewable energy projects in Germany, from economic evaluation to successful completion.
  • Lead the procurement of debt and equity, prepare investment memorandums and financing concepts, and manage bank and investor tenders as well as contract negotiations.
  • Coordinate due diligence processes, working closely with internal departments, external consultants, banks, and investors.
  • Prepare profitability calculations and scenario analyses to support investment decisions and capital allocations.
  • Operate and further develop existing financial models. Create data models, automated analyses, and dashboards using Power BI, Power Query, and Excel.
  • Improve data structures, valuation, reporting, and decision-making processes, acting as a liaison between project development, financing, M&A, controlling, and asset management.

Requirements

  • Completed degree in economics, business engineering, business informatics, or a comparable qualification.
  • At least five years of relevant professional experience, e.g., in investment management, project finance, M&A, investment banking, or transaction advisory.
  • Proficient in Excel, Power BI, and Power Query, with experience in operating and developing financial and data models.
  • Experience in evaluating and financing investment projects.
  • Sound knowledge of profitability calculations, DCF valuations, and sensitivity and scenario analyses.
  • Combine economic and transactional thinking with strong data affinity, initiative, and communication skills.
  • Fluent German and English (at least C1 level).
