About the Role
We are seeking a passionate Systems and Assurance Engineer to ensure rail systems are designed, constructed, and operated to the highest standards of safety, reliability, availability, and maintainability on the Sydney Metro West Linewide Project.
Responsibilities
- Assist in coordinating and monitoring systems assurance activities.
- Participate in risk assessment activities for railway operations.
- Support project and tender teams in implementing risk management elements.
- Review and comment on systems assurance submissions.
- Ensure safety requirements are included in designs and communicated.
- Review key project processes, documentation, and assurance evidence.
- Ensure appropriate measures are in place for the design safety assurance review process.
- Manage and monitor the systems assurance program on projects and tenders.
Requirements
- Bachelor degree in Engineering or relevant tertiary qualification.
- At least 3 years post-graduate experience.
- Strong knowledge of contemporary systems engineering and assurance practices.
- Experience within the rail industry is ideal.
- Previous Systems and Safety Assurance experience in Rail.
- Delivery of contemporary systems engineering and assurance practices.
- Strong communication skills.
- Ability to work as part of a team.
- Ability to manage stakeholders across different projects.
- Ability to build positive relationships.
