About the Role
Lead and develop a network of Solicitor Advocates, shaping advocacy excellence and driving high-quality criminal law services across NSW. Provide supervision, management and mentorship of Solicitor Advocates in the Criminal Law Division and contribute to service delivery planning.
Responsibilities
- Provide supervision, management and mentorship of Solicitor Advocates in the Criminal Law Division.
- Contribute to service delivery planning.
- Develop advocacy capability.
- Support performance.
- Drive consistent service excellence across the Criminal Law Division.
- Build effective relationships with Public Defenders, Solicitors in Charge and other stakeholders.
- Address service delivery needs.
- Manage competing priorities.
- Ensure the delivery of high-quality legal services.
Requirements
- Hold Australian or NZ citizenship, Australian Permanent Residency.
- Undertake relevant pre-employment checks such as Working with Children Check, Criminal Record Check, and Conduct Service Check.
- Be admitted or eligible for admission as a legal practitioner in NSW.
- Provide a current NSW Practising Certificate before starting work.
- Hold a valid NSW driver license.
- Willing to travel to regional and metropolitan offices as required.
