About the Role

Axiom is seeking an experienced government contracts lawyer for a full-time, remote role in Australia, providing legal guidance on complex contracting matters for a well-known telecommunications and technology company.

Responsibilities

• Provide practical, commercially focused legal advice and guidance to a diverse range of internal stakeholders.
• Draft, review and negotiate a broad range of commercial agreements and related documentation.
• Identify, assess and advise on legal, contractual and commercial risks, providing pragmatic solutions.
• Support the business on key projects, initiatives and strategic matters from a legal perspective.
• Build strong relationships and collaborate effectively with legal, commercial, procurement and broader business teams.
• Manage a varied and evolving portfolio of matters, balancing competing priorities and delivering high-quality advice within required timeframes.

Requirements

• Provide practical, commercially focused legal advice to a broad range of internal stakeholders across a diverse portfolio of matters.
• Draft, review and negotiate a range of commercial agreements, advising on key legal and contractual risks.
• Partner closely with legal, commercial and business teams to support strategic projects, initiatives and day-to-day business requirements.
• Must hold a current Australian Government Baseline or NV1 security clearance.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
