About the Role

The Amadeu Antonio Foundation is seeking a student assistant for 15 hours per week at their Berlin location, starting as soon as possible. This role supports the 'Aktion Noteingang' initiative, which provides refuge and assistance to victims of discrimination and violence.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with the organization of events and network meetings
• Managing new inquiries and general email communication
• Taking minutes and notes
• Maintaining data and distribution lists
• Assisting with general project activities
• Supporting the development of workshop materials for new 'Noteingänge'

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a university, preferably in cultural, humanities, social, or educational sciences
• Experience communicating with diverse audiences
• Knowledge of racism, antisemitism, queer hostility, ableism, and other ideologies of group-based enmity, as well as related discourses
• Proficiency in common office software
• Experience working with affected groups and related discourses is an advantage
• Experience through civil society engagement (e.g., in a club) is an advantage
• Identification with the goals of the Amadeu Antonio Foundation

• The project also serves as the supra-regional contact point for the Berlin network of 'Aktion Noteingang'.
