About the Role

The Water Engineering department is hiring a water resources engineer to support the operation of Arbuckle Reservoir and other ongoing major water supply projects. Our ideal candidate is ready for opportunities to learn and grow through hands-on projects, under the supervision of incredible senior engineers and technical specialists. Responsibilities

  • Perform engineering calculations and designs related to water resources, water conveyance, and development of cost estimates.
  • Review project plans and specifications.
  • Review and summarize existing reports related to development of new water resources.
  • Support LCRA’s existing water infrastructure through investigation of technical issues and development of practical solutions.
  • Work on the design and construction of new pump stations, pipeline projects and reservoirs.
  • Provide engineering support during construction including visiting project construction sites, visiting equipment fabrication shops, visiting hydraulic labs, witnessing material and equipment tests.

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in engineering, engineering technology, engineering physics, biosystems engineering, mathematical science, physical science or related science.
  • Driver's license

  • Bachelors degree in engineering, engineering technology, engineering physics, biosystems engineering, mathematical science, physical science or related science.
