About the Role
At LCRA, we are seeking a skilled Category Buyer to join our procurement team. This role involves supporting internal customer needs by leading sourcing events and procuring vital materials and services. The Category Buyer will utilize a strategic mindset, align with specific procurement processes, and build effective supplier relationships.
Responsibilities
- Lead sourcing events and execute Purchase Orders for services and materials.
- Support multiple stakeholders within the organization with their procurement needs.
- Follow up on existing orders with suppliers and stakeholders.
- Support special projects by representing Supply Chain and ensuring LCRA purchasing policies and procedures are met.
Requirements
- Two or more years of experience in procurement, logistics, warehouse operations, or inventory management or other relevant experience.
Skills
- Conducting formal and informal purchases for goods/services
- Managing supplier relationships
- Establishing and managing stakeholder relationships
- Understanding of inventory management and control
