About the Role
This role is responsible for the independent execution of monthly payroll for a defined group of employees, ensuring accurate and compliant processing of all related data and acting as a key point of contact for payroll-related inquiries.
Responsibilities
- Independent execution of monthly payroll for a defined group of employees.
- Maintenance and verification of personnel, payroll, and accounting data in DATEV and Personio.
- Processing of new hires, terminations, contract changes, absences, and other payroll-relevant matters.
- Handling reporting and certification requirements for health insurance funds, tax authorities, and social security institutions.
- Reviewing and implementing changes in statutory, social security, and tax regulations.
- Serving as a point of contact for employees and managers regarding payroll, salary, social security, and tax inquiries.
- Close collaboration with HR, financial accounting, and other departments.
- Reviewing payroll calculations, clarifying discrepancies, and performing necessary corrections.
- Generating evaluations and reports for internal departments and management.
- Supporting payroll tax and social security audits.
- Optimizing and digitizing payroll-relevant processes.
Requirements
- Completed commercial apprenticeship, ideally with further training in payroll, HR, or financial accounting.
- Professional experience in the independent execution of payroll.
- Very good knowledge of DATEV LODAS or a comparable payroll system.
- Experience with Personio and ideally proficient in personnel administration and its payroll-relevant data.
- Good knowledge of wage tax, social security, and labor law.
- Proficient in MS Office, especially Excel.
- Structured, meticulous, and independent work style.
- High affinity for numbers and sense of responsibility.
- Discretion and a strong understanding of confidential handling of personnel data.
- Enjoyment of collaboration with HR, Finance, and other departments.
