About the Role
Meter is seeking a Regulatory Counsel to help shape the future of enterprise internet infrastructure. This founding legal role is critical to enabling responsible, rapid expansion across new markets and regulatory environments.
Responsibilities
- Guide Meter’s entry into new jurisdictions as an ISP.
- Develop and manage international risk compliance programs.
- Advise on data privacy, AI, and product compliance.
- Lead Meter’s telecom legal strategy across the US, Canada, UK, EU, Australia, and beyond.
- Build compliance programs for FCPA, export controls, CFIUS, and sanctions.
- Advise on GDPR, CCPA, and privacy-by-design initiatives.
- Support marketing, product, and engineering teams on regulatory and safety matters.
- Partner with People and Facilities on employment and safety compliance.
Requirements
- J.D. from a top law school.
- In-house regulatory experience.
- Membership in good standing with at least one state bar.
