About the Role
This founding legal role is central to Meter’s commercial operations. The Commercial Counsel will own the end-to-end commercial contracting process, structuring and closing the revenue-generating agreements that drive Meter’s growth. The role also includes building the legal infrastructure—templates, playbooks, and contract lifecycle management—to streamline future deals as Meter expands. This is an opportunity to shape Meter’s commercial legal function from the ground up and play a key role in scaling a business redefining enterprise connectivity.
Responsibilities
- Own the end-to-end commercial contracting process.
- Structure and close revenue-generating agreements.
- Draft and negotiate enterprise sales agreements, SLAs, channel and partner contracts, real estate licenses for hardware installation, and supply chain agreements.
- Build legal infrastructure including templates, playbooks, and contract lifecycle management.
Requirements
- J.D. from a top law school.
- In-house regulatory work experience.
- Membership in good standing with at least one state bar.
