About the Role
This role owns demand generation, taking a stranger from never hearing of Sauna to signing up. You will have a real budget from day one and report directly to the hiring manager. This is a hands-on making role, responsible for writing posts, briefing videos, buying media, and shipping landing pages, with the opportunity to hire against proven channels.
Responsibilities
- Own the top of the funnel end to end: paid on Meta and Google first, then lifecycle, then everything that compounds around them.
- Run a creator program with a six-figure monthly Meta budget, requiring 400 to 500 fresh creatives a month.
- Build an affiliate program and treat it as a real channel with revenue share.
- Build a content engine with the product itself as the subject, using Sauna to do your job in public.
- Ship programmatic SEO and AEO with an engineering partner.
- Write copy for landing pages, ads, emails, posts, and video scripts.
- Run launches end to end: positioning, copy, social, email, video brief, press, community.
- Report one number every week: how many new people heard about Sauna and came to look, and what each one cost.
Requirements
- Must be based in the Bay Area or willing to relocate.
- Requires US work authorization; O-1 or J-1 visa sponsorship considered for exceptional candidates.
- Have run actual ads with your own hands, including channel selection, creative writing, budget setting, and performance analysis.
- Understand conversion events, match rate importance, and the impact of broken tracking.
- Experience taking something from unknown to known (product, newsletter, channel, community, or company).
- Be a systems thinker, able to map job systems and identify automation opportunities.
- Have built a system with a feedback loop that improves over time.
- Write unusually well: punchy, specific, opinionated, and able to adopt different voices.
- Know current trends on X, YouTube, LinkedIn, and TikTok.
- Technical enough to ship a landing page and brief SEO work without extensive ticketing.
- Experience pricing or growing a usage-based product is a bonus.
- Experience running a UGC creator program or affiliate program at scale is a bonus.
- A portfolio of work that traveled with attached numbers is a bonus.
- Existing relationships with creators, newsletters, or AI community distribution channels is a bonus.
