About the Role

DXC is leading a large-scale project to migrate mainframe environments to AWS for a major client. We are seeking a Project Manager or Lead for middleware migration, operations migration, and testing (IT/ST/UAT) to guide this transition from IBM z/OS and Hitachi VOS3 mainframes to AWS.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage migration plans for infrastructure and middleware.
• Plan and manage post-migration operations design and testing (IT/ST/UAT).
• Evaluate, propose, and present migration strategies considering cost, technology, and operations.
• Engage in client negotiations, create documentation, and manage handover to operations teams.
• Collaborate with partners and offshore teams to drive projects and resolve issues.

Requirements

• Over 7 years of experience as a Project Manager or over 5 years as a Project Leader.
• Experience in migration projects from mainframes (z/OS or VOS3) to open systems (Red Hat).
• Experience in designing AWS cloud environments and Red Hat environments (5+ years).
• Lead experience in mainframe migration projects.
• Knowledge of middleware such as HULFT and MQ for operations monitoring and communication.
• Lead experience in operations design for large-scale system migration projects.
• Experience introducing and operating operation automation tools.
• Experience operating IBM z/OS or Hitachi VOS3.
• Experience in operations design within AWS cloud environments (5+ years).
• Experience with character code conversion and report migration.
• Experience collaborating with international teams.
• Knowledge of AWS, CI/CD, IaC, middleware (Openframe7), and databases (Tibero/Oracle) is a plus (trainable after hiring).
