About the Role

Join ASX, a leading global securities exchange and trusted market operator, to power a stronger economic future by enabling a fair and dynamic marketplace. In this role, you will be part of an exciting data hub and contribute to critical market infrastructure.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate fair, orderly, and transparent markets across ASX trading environments, monitoring activity and supporting market participants.
  • Manage daily team operations, resolving Trading Operations issues and queries with a focus on regulatory requirements and customer service.
  • Lead the team by providing support, direction, performance feedback, and mentoring.
  • Manage incident response and collaborate with stakeholders to resolve operational issues.
  • Oversee customer readiness for new products and client onboarding.
  • Allocate resources and manage rotations to ensure a stable operational environment within a hybrid work setting.
  • Monitor and update operational procedures and risk controls, meeting audit requirements.
  • Manage the operationalization of new products, services, or technology upgrades to enhance client service.
  • Assist in managing external user test environments, including system maintenance, issue resolution, and user acceptance testing.
  • Contribute to monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting for Trading Operations.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders on core systems for issue resolution, maintenance, and upgrades.
  • Engage with diverse stakeholders, including brokers and system vendors, to identify and implement process improvements.
  • Execute ASX’s Business Continuity Plan (BCP) emergency procedures.

Requirements

  • Previous experience leading a team in a fast-paced, deadline-driven operational environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience leading a customer-facing team that provides exceptional service.
  • Proficiency in report writing for senior management/Boards, focusing on operational analysis and commentary.
  • Extensive knowledge of Australian Financial Markets and related products, including listed products, rules, and market operations.
  • Exposure to Financial Markets in a broking or market operations environment.
  • Ability to make decisions and apply critical thinking in high-intensity situations.
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure.
  • Strategic thinking and strong collaboration skills.
  • Ability to engage with a broad range of stakeholders.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in Australia on a permanent basis without restrictions.
