About the Role

This talent pool campaign is for the employment of an Aboriginal person to support the Department Customer Service NSW's expansion. As an Aboriginal Assistant Advisor, you will undertake culturally informed project research, analysis, reporting, implementation, and administrative activities to support project development and delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Provide project and operational support, including monitoring and reporting on project plans, milestones, and deliverables.
  • Work on documentation and records regarding relevant issues, policies, and practices to ensure project delivery.
  • Conduct basic research and analysis in project areas and contribute to project briefs.
  • Communicate with stakeholders to provide project status updates and discuss implementation issues.
  • Provide secretariat and administrative services, including coordinating meetings and preparing papers.

Requirements

  • Evidence of Aboriginality is required.
  • Aboriginal as defined by the Aboriginal Lands Rights Act 1983 (NSW) is a person who identifies as a person of Aboriginal descent, presents documentation identifying their family’s Aboriginal descent, and is accepted by their local Aboriginal community as a person of Aboriginal descent.
  • Submit CV and a brief cover letter outlining relevant skills and experience.
  • Successful completion and maintenance of probity checks, including criminal record and reference checks.
