About the Role

Join the Investment and Evaluation Policy & Advisory team at NSW Treasury and help shape better investment decisions for the people of NSW. Responsibilities

Assisting and, where appropriate, leading in the assessment of proposals and evaluations.
Maintaining and updating policy standards.
Incorporating emerging evidence.
Managing stakeholders.
Liaising extensively with all other business units within Treasury, government agencies and external stakeholders.

Requirements

Relevant tertiary qualification in economics, econometrics or statistics, public policy, law, research, evaluation or related fields and/or professional experience in providing policy advice, research, and/or economic or other analysis.
Ability to analyse data, models and apply critical reasoning across diverse policy issues to support economic and/or policy advice in consultation with senior staff.
Experience providing advice in government, economic policy, or regulation is desirable.
Knowledge of public economics, cost-benefit analysis and/or evaluation is desirable.
Curious, coachable and resilient.
Must be an Australian or New Zealand citizen or permanent resident of Australia.
Must undergo background checks and provide confirmation of tertiary academic qualifications before commencement.
