About the Role
We need a Software Engineer, Reliability to own production reliability across our full stack (React, Python, AWS). You will have autonomy to shape observability, on-call, and incident response as we scale, treating uptime, performance, and incident response as a craft.
Responsibilities
- Take end-to-end responsibility for the reliability, availability, and performance of Dataro's production systems.
- Build observability from the ground up, including metrics, logging, tracing, alerting, SLOs, and error budgets.
- Lead incident response, including triage, resolution, blameless postmortems, and follow-through on fixes.
- Contribute to architecture decisions regarding scaling, resilience, and disaster recovery.
- Automate manual toil using modern AI-assisted tooling.
- Collaborate with engineering, product, and data science to ensure reliability is a core consideration.
- Contribute fixes and improvements to the Python backend and React frontend.
Requirements
- Experience in software engineering, platform engineering, or a similar role.
- Hands-on AWS experience.
- Full-stack experience across React and Python, sufficient to debug and contribute fixes.
- Experience in serverless architectures (Lambda, Serverless Framework).
- Experience with containerization using Docker.
- Solid track record of owning production services and handling pressure during incidents.
- Comfort with SQL and relational databases.
- Fluency with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and automated testing.
- Clear communication across disciplines.
