About the Role

Assist a high-level state official by performing complex administrative and supportive tasks for the implementation and administration of major projects and programs impacting all state government departments and agencies.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee agency files and records, ensuring accuracy and currency.
  • Analyze operational procedures and prepare detailed reports with findings and recommendations.
  • Perform public relations duties, including preparing news releases and writing/delivering speeches.
  • Assist a superior with administrative tasks and research for overall agency operations.
  • Coordinate workflow among agency units.
  • Respond to inquiries and direct them to the appropriate resources.
  • Attend conferences and meetings on behalf of a superior and prepare reports.

Requirements

  • Considerable employment in a supervisory position in state government assisting a high-level state official performing complex administrative and supportive tasks involved in the implementation and administration of major projects and programs that had effect on all departments or agencies.
  • Any combination of education and experience substantially equivalent to the stated education and experience requirements.

Skills

  • Thorough knowledge of public administration principles and practices.
  • Thorough knowledge of modern office management principles and practices, and the ability to apply them.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with personnel.
  • Thorough knowledge of effective implementation procedures for policies and procedures.
  • Ability to prepare accurate and concise written reports.
  • Collection experience preferred.

Salary/Compensations

  • $73,426.00 - $82,899.00
