About the Role
LCRA is seeking a Cloud Security Engineer Sr to support cybersecurity operations across multiple cloud environments. This role will lead the design and administration of Cloud Detection and Response (CDR) and Cloud Access Security Broker (CASB) systems, advancing cloud security maturity by building detection, monitoring, and response capabilities for critical infrastructure.
Responsibilities
- Apply native cloud security and monitoring services to strengthen visibility and control across cloud platforms.
- Securely architect and configure APIs connecting LCRA's cybersecurity systems with third-party cloud platforms.
- Guide Cloud Service Provider (CSP) Identity and Access Management (IdAM) configuration and security policy to support enterprise monitoring.
- Investigate and respond to cloud security incidents, using network, host, and cloud-based data to drive detection and response.
- Strengthen identity security in the cloud by guiding IdAM and access policy decisions across cloud service providers.
- Improve LCRA's threat readiness by researching emerging cloud attack techniques and translating that intelligence into stronger defenses.
Requirements
- Nine or more years of experience in designing and deploying enterprise-level systems in the cloud and cybersecurity systems engineering or other relevant experience.
