About the Role

LCRA is seeking a Cybersecurity Analyst Sr to support daily Security Operations Center (SOC) activities, including security monitoring, alert analysis, incident investigation, documentation, and remediation efforts. This role contributes to LCRA’s cybersecurity strategy by implementing, operating, and maintaining security technologies and controls. The analyst will monitor emerging threats, technology trends, and regulatory requirements, deploy and manage security solutions, and provide subject matter expertise to enhance LCRA’s security posture.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor, analyze, and respond to cybersecurity threats, incidents, malware, spam, vulnerabilities, and other security events.
  • Proactively assess and hunt for emerging threats and risks while maintaining the effectiveness of security monitoring and detection capabilities.
  • Design, implement, administer, and support cybersecurity technologies, including SIEM, vulnerability assessment tools, IDS/IPS, antivirus, email/web security, and firewalls.
  • Plan and execute cybersecurity projects, provide technical security consulting, and support business units in meeting cybersecurity requirements.
  • Develop, document, review, and maintain cybersecurity policies, standards, procedures, guidelines, and compliance-related evidence.
  • Support regulatory compliance initiatives, including NERC CIP and other applicable standards, through audits, documentation, field activities, and coordination with management on cybersecurity concerns and incidents.

Requirements

  • Nine or more years of experience in cybersecurity or relevant experience.
