About the Role

LCRA is seeking a motivated, people-focused leader for its Diagnostic and Maintenance team. This supervisor role will support district teams, oversee work groups, and collaborate with vendors and engineering groups. Responsibilities include performing electrical work, diagnostic testing, and maintenance of transmission equipment such as motor control systems, interlocks, high voltage switchgear, and protective relays. The ideal candidate will leverage field experience while remaining open to developing new skills.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the safety leader.
  • Provide daily communication, guidance, and direction to work groups.
  • Ensure effective operation of all reporting crews.
  • Offer input into the budgeting process, pay actions, employment decisions, equipment replacement, and work group-related decisions.
  • Oversee and coordinate internal and external construction and maintenance crews, including hiring, termination, and disciplinary actions for reporting staff.

Requirements

  • Nine or more years of experience in electrical or mechanical equipment installation, maintenance, or repair in a high-voltage environment, or transmission line installation, maintenance, or repair, or other relevant experience.
  • One year of leadership responsibility.
  • Possession of a driver's license.
