About the Role
Watney is seeking a Technical Sourcer to join our rapidly expanding talent team and contribute to building an exceptional team in the robotics field. You will collaborate directly with founders and the recruiting team to identify top talent. This is a hands-on role focused on scaling Watney from 25 to over 60 employees by year-end, serving as the primary sourcing engine for technical, go-to-market, operational, and leadership positions.
Responsibilities
- Implement sourcing strategies for multiple open searches concurrently.
- Identify and engage passive candidates through direct outreach, referrals, and community engagement.
- Collaborate closely with founders and hiring managers on deeply technical and complex searches.
- Contribute to maintaining operational recruiting excellence while building the talent team from the ground up.
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience as a sourcer, preferably in a fast-paced startup or tech company.
- Ability to identify exceptional talent and create pipelines through innovative methods.
- Highly organized with a commitment to running an efficient and candidate-centric process.
- Excellent communication skills, ensuring candidates feel valued.
- Comfortable managing ambiguity and changing priorities while maintaining attention to detail.
- Proficiency in learning new tools and experience with Ashby or similar Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS).
- Experience sourcing in robotics, deep tech, or hardware is a plus.
