About the Role
At Charter Hall, the Technical Services Manager will act as a liaison between technical complexities and decision-making teams across various departments, translating technical details into practical insights for building performance, utilities, lifecycle planning, sustainability, and operational efficiency to create long-term value.
Responsibilities
- Translate technical details into clear, practical advice for Asset Management, Property, Capital Works, Operations, ESG, and Funds Management teams.
- Support building optimization, energy efficiency, commissioning, tuning, and continuous improvement initiatives within the Office portfolio.
- Contribute to utility management, embedded networks, NABERS ratings, environmental certificate schemes, and ESG performance outcomes.
- Provide technical analysis, lifecycle planning input, and business case support for CapEx, OpEx, sustainability, and building services projects.
- Liaise with internal teams and external partners, including consultants, service providers, utility partners, and asset teams, to enhance reporting, streamline processes, and achieve portfolio-wide outcomes.
Requirements
- Possess future-focused capabilities such as self-awareness, resilience, agility, and generosity.
- Demonstrate strong time management skills, initiative, and prioritization abilities in a fast-paced environment.
- Have a detailed understanding of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, controls, metering, and analytics systems in commercial office buildings.
- Possess experience in building services, building optimization, NABERS, and Green Building Principles.
- Have experience supporting operational efficiency, asset performance, utilities, embedded networks, or environmental management practices.
- Be able to clearly communicate technical matters to non-technical audiences.
- Possess knowledge of legislation, standards, and operational requirements related to energy, environment, metering, embedded networks, and building services.
- Be able to establish and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Be able to read and interpret technical information and analytical data.
