About the Role

We are seeking an HRBP to partner closely with business leaders, report to the Japan HR Head, and drive HR initiatives aligned with organizational strategy. This role involves participating in and leading cross-functional HR projects, managing performance cycles, and executing talent management.

Responsibilities

• Advise business leaders on organizational design, workforce planning, and HR initiatives.
• Participate in and drive cross-country and cross-functional HR projects, supporting directors.
• Manage annual reviews and performance cycles, ensuring smooth goal setting and feedback processes.
• Execute succession plans and employee engagement initiatives, supporting leadership development.
• Ensure compliance with labor laws and internal policies in each country.
• Collaborate with global HR teams and business units to share and implement best practices.
• Ensure deep understanding and compliance with legal requirements for labor management.
• Liaise with legal and HR compliance teams as needed.

Requirements

• Over 7 years of experience in HR, including Talent Management and Recruiting Manager roles, or equivalent experience in Program/Project Management, Operations Excellence, or Customer Success if not from an HR background.
• Experience managing performance cycles and talent management, or experience as a People Manager.
• Knowledge of HR policies, labor laws, and compliance.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Flexibility and a history of taking risks rather than being conservative.
• Native Japanese proficiency.
• Business-level English proficiency (other language skills are a plus).
