About the Role

54 reasons is seeking casual group facilitators to deliver the Journey of Hope program as part of the Recovery response to the Bondi Terrorist attack. These roles involve delivering engaging online and in-person sessions to young people aged 12-18, with flexible opportunities available. The program aims to provide immediate psychosocial support and help children and families recover from their losses and restore their lives.

Responsibilities

Delivering Journey of Hope sessions to primary school-aged children, parents, and caregivers.
Ensuring quality service delivery in line with program guidelines, contractual requirements, and stakeholder expectations.
Connecting children with appropriate services as needed.
Ensuring timely and accurate monitoring, evaluation, and reporting on inputs and outcomes.
Consulting regularly with local communities, professionals, service providers, and referral services to ensure programs meet local needs.

Requirements

Demonstrated experience in working with children and families who have experienced trauma.
Significant facilitation/teaching experience with the ability to deliver information to children.
High level of communication and organisational skills.
Strong level of computer literacy.
Valid driver’s licence and willingness to travel in the region.
Must undertake MARAM training and provide evidence of completion if successful.
Required to undergo a National Police Check, a Working with Children Check, and sign the Child Safeguarding Policy and Code of Conduct.
