About the Role
Join Deloitte Business Finance as a Consultant in Financial Integrity & Controls, where you'll help keep financial processing, reporting and controls accurate, timely and compliant. This role supports month-end and year-end close activities, prepares reconciliations and supporting schedules, and assists with journal preparation, processing, and compliance evidence. The work also includes weekly and monthly reporting production and distribution.
Responsibilities
- Support month-end and year-end close activities
- Prepare reconciliations and supporting schedules
- Assist with journal preparation, processing, and compliance evidence
- Produce and distribute weekly and monthly reports
- Monitor data quality, hierarchies, rates, and cost structures
- Track AR, pending cash, WIP, and revenue adjustment items
- Investigate variances, anomalies, and control exceptions
- Respond to queries from Finance and the business
- Build effective working relationships across Finance and the business
- Escalate issues appropriately
- Identify process, automation, and communication improvements
Requirements
- A qualification in finance, accounting or commerce
- 1-3 years of relevant experience
- Strong attention to detail and a disciplined approach to work
- Foundational financial systems knowledge
- Experience preparing journals, reconciliations, and reporting accurately
- An understanding of financial policies, controls, and accounting principles
- Clear communication skills
- Ability to build effective working relationships across Finance and the business
- A curious, organised, and problem-solving mindset
- Ability to manage competing deadlines
