About the Role
Stan's Entertainment PR team drives high-impact editorial coverage across earned channels, ensuring campaigns are innovative, disruptive, and engaging. This role creates demand for Stan's Entertainment portfolio, strengthens our editorial footprint, and converts cultural relevance into subscriber acquisition and retention. We are looking for a high-performing and experienced Senior Publicist on a 13-month maternity cover contract who lives and breathes entertainment and thrives in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Develop long and short-lead publicity campaigns for Stan’s Entertainment slate, maximising earned media opportunities.
- Execute editorial opportunities across the broader Nine Group network to amplify Stan’s content and brand reach.
- Lead the day-to-day delivery of publicity activity, including media pitching, press releases, media alerts, talent interviews, photoshoots, red carpet events, press conferences and on-ground activations.
- Possess an acute understanding of how media can be leveraged over time through production into launch.
- Leverage strong relationships with Australian media, journalists, editors, talent, agents and key industry partners.
- Work closely and collaboratively with internal stakeholders (Content, Marketing and Social teams) and external stakeholders (Productions, Unit Publicists etc) to develop and maintain close relationships that help to maximise opportunities for the business.
- Monitor campaign performance, analyse earned media outcomes and share insights to optimise future campaigns.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of PR, publicity, and communications experience in the entertainment industry.
- Deep understanding of the Australian media landscape, with the ability to effectively leverage editorial opportunities both within the Nine Group network and across external outlets.
- Demonstrated ability to thrive in a small team environment, managing a diverse range of concurrent campaigns with agility, focus and a proven track record of generating high-impact earned coverage.
- Outstanding media pitching, storytelling, and written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience managing talent, publicity events, and campaign activations.
- Must have the right to lawfully work and live in Australia.
