About the Role

Mercado Envíos manages seller inventory and delivers products to buyers, enhancing their platform experience. We are transforming logistics in Latin America by offering world-class customized solutions and integrating local and regional carriers across borders. The Team Leader of Dedicated Operations H&B is responsible for shift execution at the site, directly leading the operational team (UTR or OTR) to ensure timely start-up, standard execution, and cycle closure for each shift, while addressing operational deviations in real-time. This role is the first level of operational accountability at the site, leading with floor presence, executing the standardized regional Ops Clock, and ensuring shifts meet committed KPIs, embodying MELI leadership values.

Responsibilities

Lead the impeccable execution of the daily operational cycle (Ops Clock) to ensure agile package flow, directly impacting delivery promises and user satisfaction.
Monitor and correct deviations in key performance indicators (KPIs) in real-time to maximize shift productivity and efficiency, ensuring a sustainable, high-performance operation.
Inspire, develop, and support the operational team and drivers to elevate performance standards and consolidate a culture of recognition, teamwork, and high commitment.
Promote and guarantee an excellent Industrial Safety (SHE) culture to safeguard the physical integrity of individuals, building a safe and protected work environment.
Drive continuous improvement in the field through Gemba walks to identify process optimization opportunities, eliminate friction, and innovate in daily operations.
Manage workforce and resource sizing based on forecast (FCST) to ensure exact operational coverage, balancing operational cost with response capacity.
Coordinate outbound and reverse logistics (RTS), resolving incidents instantly to maintain inventory traceability and integrity, minimizing losses and protecting the MELI ecosystem.

Requirements

Previous experience in coordination or operation of logistics, Last Mile, parcel, or distribution center processes.
Direct experience in managing and supporting operational teams in a floor environment.
Demonstrated proficiency in understanding and interpreting Last Mile key management indicators (KPIs) such as Delivery Status (DS), productivity, dispatch, and RTS.
Intermediate proficiency in spreadsheet tools (Excel or Google Sheets) for consolidating and analyzing operational information.
Knowledge of operational management and process control platforms or tools (previous experience with Thundera, Kronos, or similar is desirable).
Experience in immediate attention and resolution of operational incidents directly in the work area.
Knowledge of Portuguese or English is desirable.
