About the Role

The Assistant Category Manager role supports the Category Lead in managing Consultancy and Non-Permanent Workforce. This involves creating and reviewing category plans, identifying outsourcing opportunities, and assessing their potential value to the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Lead strategy and planning for IT Professional Services globally, focusing on cost savings, lifecycle value, demand management, and innovation.
  • Manage commercial and contract negotiations with IT Services & Consultancy Suppliers of all sizes.
  • Support the creation of sub-category strategies and plans.
  • Oversee global strategic tenders within the IT Professional Services category.
  • Develop relationships with senior-level stakeholders.
  • Drive business outcomes and behaviors using subject matter expertise to add value throughout the category planning lifecycle.

Requirements

  • Significant experience in IT consulting and resourcing Category Management.
  • Experience working in complex, multi-layered organizations at a fast pace.
  • Proven ability to lead negotiations and manage high-value procurements.
  • Extensive experience in leading, defining, and executing complex transactions and deals across multiple spend categories.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and applying various commercial & procurement models.
  • Experience with post-contractual activities, including contract management and supplier relationship management.
