About the Role
The Global Indirect Procurement Senior Manager will manage the scope of Spend Area priorities for a geographic region, identifying and partnering with key stakeholder groups including Regional and local RDDC, Affiliates, finance, legal, and supply.
Responsibilities
- Build the execution plan for temporary Fixtures & Print & Premiums in line with the Stores Value Chain strategy, focusing on collaboration to reduce waste and streamline vendor engagements.
- Develop the pipeline of sourcing initiatives and opportunities for subcategories within the region, aligning with the overall Spend Area strategy.
- Track and proactively manage Key Cost & Cash Targets throughout the year, including payment terms.
- Manage strategic supplier relationships (SRM) in collaboration with key stakeholders, conducting bi-annual business reviews and evaluating opportunities.
- Drive the agenda on Sustainability, Innovation, and Supplier Inclusion & Diversity principles for responsible sub-categories.
- Develop expertise in categories, leveraging external sources, market understanding, competition, and industry best practices.
- Support the development, implementation, and maintenance of procurement standards, processes, tools, and policies.
- Execute sourcing projects aligned with stakeholders and ensure business sponsorship.
- Regionally lead sourcing and manage RFX activity.
- Maintain and improve the preferred vendor list, focusing on managing and reducing the supplier base tail.
- Develop and deploy robust contracts, ensuring visibility for stakeholder adoption.
- Participate in or lead Global RFX activities within the overall Spend Area on an ad-hoc basis.
- Ensure data accuracy and benchmarking for the Spend Area.
- Continuously evolve the Print catalog.
- Manage and execute demand management opportunities.
- Actively participate and contribute to the development of stakeholder partnerships.
- Drive projects with clarity and engagement through strong communication and collaboration.
- Interpret stakeholder and business needs with an enterprise mindset.
- Manage projects and change initiatives effectively.
- Manage SRM for target suppliers, applying appropriate cadence and degree of SRM.
- Continuously review service delivery to improve quality, performance, value creation, and cost optimization.
- Focus on business continuity, due diligence, and market intelligence, assessing supplier evolution and alternatives with the business.
- Continuously monitor and improve existing Rate Cards and preferred vendor lists.
- Ensure the implementation of contractual agreements (MSA/SOW) amendments and stakeholder adoption.
- Introduce and/or contribute to cross-functional projects.
- Introduce and/or participate in the continuous improvement of processes and procurement performances.
- Manage internal dashboards (KPI, savings, etc.) and identify upside opportunities, potential risks, and blocking points.
- Manage ad-hoc projects in cases of overcapacity/risk elsewhere in GSM IP.
- Actively participate in training and continual professional development, ensuring completion of mandatory training.
Requirements
- Procurement experience, ideally in Indirect Procurement, particularly with Print, Premiums, GWP, and Temporary Visual Merchandising.
- Strong experience and expertise in Spend Area Execution.
- Excellent collaboration, team ethic, and ability to coordinate in a matrix team environment within Spend Area and Affiliates in the region.
- Strategic thinking to contribute to and support the development and execution of the Spend Area strategy.
- Strong stakeholder relationship management capability, including proficient communication and presentation skills.
- Responsible for building and executing regional RFPs for Visual Merchandising and Regional Print & Premiums SRM for preferred vendor panel.
- Strong project management skills: flexibility and capacity to adapt to changing project circumstances.
- Rigor and organization to manage simultaneous projects efficiently.
- Ability to use sourcing tools such as Archlet.
- Excellent analytical skills to evaluate RFI, RFP; detailed comparison/should cost modelling/TCO.
- Ability to build relevant scorecards based on predefined criteria with the business.
