About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Head of Advice & Customer Risk to lead the operational and transformational risk agenda across our Advice & Customer Division. This is a highly visible leadership role responsible for strengthening Line 1 risk management, governance, controls and risk culture, while enabling the safe and successful delivery of strategic priorities and customer outcomes. You will partner closely with senior executives and business leaders to ensure risk management is practical, commercially focused and embedded in the way we operate.
Responsibilities
- Lead the Division's Line 1 risk function and overall risk agenda.
- Oversee operational risk activities including risk and control assessments, incidents, issues, obligations and remediation.
- Drive delivery of the risk transformation program and associated initiatives.
- Partner with business leaders to manage risk across operations, customer initiatives and strategic change.
- Strengthen governance, accountability and decision-making frameworks across the division.
- Develop and embed risk policies, standards, processes and reporting aligned to enterprise frameworks.
- Oversee vendor and third-party risk management activities.
- Provide risk insights, reporting and recommendations to senior leadership forums.
- Build risk capability and a proactive risk culture through coaching and education.
- Lead and develop a high-performing team, fostering engagement, accountability and continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Degree qualified in Business, Commerce, Law, Risk Management or a related discipline.
- 10+ years' experience in risk, governance, compliance or operational leadership within financial services or another highly regulated industry.
- Proven advice risk experience and experience in leading risk transformation programs.
- Strong understanding of operational risk, control frameworks, compliance and governance.
- Demonstrated ability to translate enterprise frameworks into practical business outcomes.
- Exceptional stakeholder management, communication and influencing skills.
- Strong commercial judgement and ability to balance risk, customer outcomes and business priorities.
- Experience building risk capability and leading high-performing teams.
