About the Role
SevenRooms is the operating system for hospitality, powering reservations, CRM, marketing, waitlist, and table management. We are building a team of designers who ship production-quality work using AI-powered tools. As a Staff Product Designer, you will operate across SevenRooms' product surfaces, making the team around you faster and more autonomous by building reusable workflows, shared tools, and decision frameworks. Your secondary impact will be revenue, by increasing the speed and quality of experiments and iteration cycles.
Responsibilities
- Define projects with a clear point of view on what to build, writing briefs that synthesize business and customer inputs into roadmap milestones.
- Balance customer needs, business goals, and feasibility to shape what your team builds and why.
- Bring clarity to ambiguous, cross-team problems and turn them into actionable work that ships.
- Drive prioritization across your team and adjacent teams, making tradeoffs between design quality, speed, and impact so the highest-leverage work moves first.
- Shape key projects from concept through execution, guiding design direction and shipping work that drives measurable outcomes across multiple teams.
- Produce high-fidelity designs and production-ready prototypes that set the craft standard for the team.
- Design solutions spanning multiple workflows and contribute to shared tools like prompt libraries, component generators, and workflow automations.
- Mentor peers on responsible AI use and contribute reusable frameworks adopted beyond your own team.
- Build trusted relationships across your team and adjacent product teams, influencing their roadmaps through evidence-based thinking and live prototypes.
- Pursue consistent self-improvement and flex into raising team outcomes.
- Multiply team capacity through mentorship, recruiting, and inclusive practices that raise the bar across the design org.
Requirements
- Track record of shipping work that drives measurable outcomes at scale across multiple teams.
- Body of work demonstrating craft excellence, systems thinking, and leadership through influence — shipped features, working prototypes, or open source tools alongside traditional design artifacts.
- Demonstrated scope: shaped team-level priorities, built tools or systems used by multiple designers, influenced adjacent roadmaps.
- Exceptional visual and interaction design craft.
- Build-first fluency — reach for code editors and LLM-powered tools as naturally as design tools, prototyping in production and contributing meaningfully to the codebase.
- Product thinking that defines what to build by synthesizing customer needs, business goals, and technical constraints into a clear brief.
- Systems thinking at scale — design solutions that work across teams and workflows, and build the shared tooling that operationalizes them.
- Builder who multiplies — don't just ship your own work faster, build the tools and workflows that make everyone around you faster.
- Comfort with ambiguity at scale — navigate unclear problems across multiple teams and create clarity through shipped artifacts, not slide decks.

- We are a technology and logistics company that started by enabling door-to-door delivery, and we are looking for team members who can help us go from a company that is known as the place you order food to a company that people turn to for any and all goods.
- DoorDash is growing rapidly and changing constantly, which gives our team members the opportunity to share their unique perspectives, solve new challenges, and own their careers.
- We're committed to supporting employees’ happiness, healthiness, and overall well-being by providing comprehensive benefits and perks including premium healthcare, wellness expense reimbursement, paid parental leave and more.
