About the Role

Seeking an attorney with experience representing secured creditors in consumer Chapter 7, 11, and 13 bankruptcy cases. We are open to training the right team-oriented candidate with less experience.

Responsibilities

  • Manages bankruptcy routine matters
  • Drafts and reviews all pleadings and claims filed in the particular matter
  • Attends scheduled hearings
  • Responds to general firm wide bankruptcy inquiries
  • Reviews filings on behalf of the clients
  • Monitors all electronic filings (ECFs)
  • Resolves routine bankruptcy matters such as Motions for Relief, Objections to Confirmation, Proofs of claim, etc.
  • Communicates regularly with the client, opposing counsel and the Court

Requirements

  • Working knowledge of the Bankruptcy Code and Federal Rules of Bankruptcy Procedure
  • Knowledge of bankruptcy rules/laws and general Creditor Rights laws
