About the Role
Seeking an attorney with experience representing secured creditors in consumer Chapter 7, 11, and 13 bankruptcy cases. We are open to training the right team-oriented candidate with less experience.
Responsibilities
- Manages bankruptcy routine matters
- Drafts and reviews all pleadings and claims filed in the particular matter
- Attends scheduled hearings
- Responds to general firm wide bankruptcy inquiries
- Reviews filings on behalf of the clients
- Monitors all electronic filings (ECFs)
- Resolves routine bankruptcy matters such as Motions for Relief, Objections to Confirmation, Proofs of claim, etc.
- Communicates regularly with the client, opposing counsel and the Court
Requirements
- Working knowledge of the Bankruptcy Code and Federal Rules of Bankruptcy Procedure
- Knowledge of bankruptcy rules/laws and general Creditor Rights laws
