About the Role

Albany Technical College seeks a part-time Titan Café Cashier and Expediter to support daily café operations by providing customer service, processing transactions, and coordinating order preparation and distribution.

Responsibilities

• Provide courteous and efficient customer service.
• Accurately process cash and electronic transactions through the point-of-sale system.
• Issue receipts.
• Maintain an orderly cashier station.
• Balance the cash drawer as required.
• Coordinate the timely and accurate preparation and distribution of customer orders.
• Verify orders for completeness and quality.
• Communicate with kitchen staff.
• Package food items.
• Restock service supplies.
• Ensure orders are delivered promptly.
• Assist with opening and closing procedures.
• Maintain a clean and sanitary service area.
• Follow all applicable food-safety and cash-handling procedures.
• Support inventory activities as needed.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in a restaurant, cafeteria, retail, or other food-service environment.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Ability to accurately perform basic cash-handling duties.
• Current ServSafe Food Handler certification or ability to obtain prior to start date.
• Six (6) months work-related experience.
