About the Role
Albany Technical College seeks a part-time Titan Café Cashier and Expediter to support daily café operations by providing customer service, processing transactions, and coordinating order preparation and distribution.
Responsibilities
- Provide courteous and efficient customer service.
- Accurately process cash and electronic transactions through the point-of-sale system.
- Issue receipts.
- Maintain an orderly cashier station.
- Balance the cash drawer as required.
- Coordinate the timely and accurate preparation and distribution of customer orders.
- Verify orders for completeness and quality.
- Communicate with kitchen staff.
- Package food items.
- Restock service supplies.
- Ensure orders are delivered promptly.
- Assist with opening and closing procedures.
- Maintain a clean and sanitary service area.
- Follow all applicable food-safety and cash-handling procedures.
- Support inventory activities as needed.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a restaurant, cafeteria, retail, or other food-service environment.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Ability to accurately perform basic cash-handling duties.
- Current ServSafe Food Handler certification or ability to obtain prior to start date.
- Six (6) months work-related experience.
