About the Role
Albany Technical College seeks a highly motivated individual to fill the position of Adjunct Clinical Instructor for the Radiographic Technology Program. This role involves supervising and instructing students in a clinical environment, providing guidance, and assisting with career placement.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and instruct students in the clinical environment.
- Utilize course syllabi and projected learning schedules.
- Provide learner guidance and academic advisement to students.
- Fulfill assigned schedules.
- Maintain accurate student attendance and grade records.
- Maintain an instructional environment with emphasis on safety, housekeeping, and equipment security.
- Ensure opportunities for student/participant evaluations.
- Assess students’ progress and performance in attaining goals and objectives.
- Prepare and maintain all required documentation and administrative reports.
- Serve as a mentor and role model to students.
- Assist students with career placement by collaborating with business partners to identify workforce needs.
- Prepare and deliver instruction.
- Evaluate student progress.
- Provide academic advisement.
- Develop curriculum.
- Collaborate and work effectively with faculty, staff, students, and the community.
- Utilize excellent interpersonal, motivational, and communication skills.
Requirements
- Must hold American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) current registration in radiography or equivalent (i.e., unrestricted state license for the state in which the clinical setting is located).
- Have a minimum of two years full-time clinical experience in radiologic technology.
- Resume required.
- Cover letter required.
- Copy of registration in radiography/unrestricted state license required.
- All positions require a pre-employment criminal background investigation, education, and employer/professional reference checks.
- Some positions may additionally require a motor vehicle record search, credit history check, fingerprinting, and/or drug screen.
- All male applicants between the ages of 18 and 26 years of age must present proof of Selective Service Registration.

Experience Level

- Minimum of one year experience as an instructor in a JRCERT accredited program preferred.
- Prior teaching experience in a radiologic technology education program or health sciences program preferred.
Education Level
- Associate’s Degree in related field (Imaging Sciences preferably) preferred.
Salary/Compensations
- $27.00/hour
