About the Role
We are building at the frontier of applied AI within the operational core of an industry that moves the physical economy. This role involves owning the product surface and underlying systems where AI-generated work meets human oversight, focusing on inventing solutions for supervising probabilistic AI systems and ensuring trust through a well-designed product interface.
Responsibilities
- Own the product surface where work is reviewed, corrected, and approved.
- Develop and maintain the services underneath the product surface, including state, jobs, queues, and retries.
- Define and implement the core domain model for the product.
- Build product end-to-end, from schema to interface.
- Engage directly with customers to understand their needs and gather feedback.
- Invent solutions for how a person supervises a system that is right most of the time.
Requirements
- Experience building product end-to-end at an early-stage company.
- Proficiency in Python.
- Ability to become proficient in an unfamiliar codebase quickly.
- Comfort building around systems with unpredictable probabilistic output.
- Ability to form and advocate for product opinions.
- Intellectual honesty regarding system limitations and failure modes.
