About the Role

BAE Systems is seeking a Software Engineer to join their Austin, Texas team, developing Next Generation Electronic Systems Products and Solutions. The role involves designing and writing real-time embedded software for fielded electronics platforms, contributing to critical mission capabilities for national security.

Responsibilities

• Design and write software that provides critical mission capabilities.
• Develop high-quality, real-time embedded software for fielded electronics platforms.
• Work across multiple disciplines and collaborate with Systems, Hardware and Test Engineers.
• Impact all phases of the Software Development Lifecycle.
• Take on diverse and challenging work assignments.
• Learn, leverage current technologies, and incorporate new technologies.
• Become an expert or future technical leader in the engineering organization.

Requirements

• 4+ Years of Professional Experience
• Bachelors Degree in an Engineering Field
• Ability to obtain a Secret Clearance
• Experience with C/C++, Python, Gitlab, and CI/CD
• Experience in Software Development in Linux
• Experience in Hands on Integrating Testing of Electronic systems
• Experience developing Software on an Agile team
• Experience with Automated Unit Testing Suites like GoogleTest or unittest
