About the Role

Trane Technologies is seeking recent graduates for its 14-week, best-in-class Technical Sales Graduate Training Program in La Crosse, WI. This program provides intensive technical, business, sales engineering, and leadership training, preparing participants to become technical experts and build customer relationships while selling climate solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Be a technical expert for commercial customers through continuous learning and professional growth.
  • Engage in assignments related to commercial HVAC, energy optimization, and relationship-based selling.
  • Grow and maintain customer relationships by solving their challenges.
  • Sell Trane Technologies climate solutions products to promote sustainability.
  • Sell efficient heating, ventilating, and air conditioning (HVAC) equipment and building management controls to commercial, industrial, and institutional customers.
  • Collaborate with engineers, architects, contractors, and owners/developers in the design, application, and sale of equipment, controls, parts, and services.
  • Build and strengthen customer relationships by identifying and understanding customer needs throughout the sales cycle.
  • Enhance sales strategies through strategic opportunity development and market condition analysis.
  • Create and execute a sales plan and growth strategy for the territory and customers to meet or exceed sales targets.
  • Achieve strategic objectives and sales quotas by securing new design wins and managing the sales channel.

Requirements

  • Must have graduated prior to the start date of the Graduate Training Program.
  • A passion for continuous learning in technical fields.
  • Prior internship experience at Trane Technologies or the capability to commence in-office work 3 months prior to GTP start date.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or have the legal right to work in the U.S. without requiring sponsorship now or in the future.
  • Ability to temporarily relocate for the 14-week training program.
  • Possess a valid driver’s license for a minimum of 12 months.
  • Ability to provide proof of insurance.
  • No major or frequent traffic violations including DUI in the previous 3 years, Hit & Run, License Suspension, Reckless / Careless Driving or multiple smaller infractions or preventable collisions in the previous 3 years.
