About the Role
We are looking for a Client Engineer to be the technical partner our Bay Area clients rely on. This is a field-based, hybrid role where you will manage your own schedule, drive to client sites across the Bay Area, and own client relationships, not just a ticket queue. Our South San Francisco office keeps the broader team close by. Mileage is reimbursed. This is hands-on client IT engineering, not a remote-only help desk.
Responsibilities
- Support clients across Microsoft 365, identity (Entra ID), endpoints, networks, and servers, both onsite and remotely
- Own client relationships and small projects end to end
- Troubleshoot at the infrastructure layer: Microsoft 365 tenant configuration, networking, and endpoint management across multiple client environments
- Explain technical issues clearly to non-technical staff and executives, and document as you go
Requirements
- Candidates must be based in the San Francisco Bay Area at the time of hire
- Three or more years in IT support; multi-client or MSP experience strongly preferred
- Comfortable driving to client sites across the Bay Area
Skills
- Microsoft 365 administration

- Networking fundamentals (DNS, DHCP, VPN, firewalls)
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to adapt to any audience
