About the Role

Join Bielby's Pre Contracts team as a Senior Procurement Advisor, leading procurement activities for tenders and project pursuits to ensure timely supplier engagement and high-quality outcomes. Provide market intelligence, procurement expertise, and commercial insight to influence tender competitiveness and project success in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate procurement activities across Bielby's tender pipeline and project requirements.
  • Develop procurement strategies and package plans in collaboration with Pre Contracts, Estimating, Commercial and Project teams.
  • Manage end-to-end procurement packages, including market engagement, RFQs, tender administration, evaluation and recommendation.
  • Manage EstimateOne and coordinate procurement activity nationally to maximise supplier and subcontractor participation.
  • Maintain procurement schedules and proactively identify long-lead items, supply constraints and market risks.
  • Provide procurement expertise and market insights to support tender strategy and competitive project delivery.
  • Analyse and level supplier and subcontractor quotations, identifying scope gaps, pricing risks and commercial differences.
  • Support negotiations and contribute to commercially sound procurement recommendations.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and subcontractors across Bielby's operating regions.
  • Monitor market conditions, supplier capability, pricing trends and emerging supply chain risks.
  • Maintain procurement systems, registers, schedules and reporting frameworks.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives across procurement systems, processes and governance.

Requirements

  • Experience in procurement, supply chain, estimating support, contracts administration or commercial roles within construction or infrastructure.
  • Strong understanding of subcontractor and supplier engagement processes.
  • Demonstrated experience managing procurement packages across multiple concurrent tenders or projects.
  • Commercial and analytical capability to assess quotations, pricing and procurement risks.
  • Experience undertaking tender evaluations, supplier negotiations and market engagement activities.
  • Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building skills.
  • High level of organisation and attention to detail.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel capability.
  • Experience with EstimateOne or similar procurement platforms highly regarded.
  • Successful applicants will be required to undergo a pre-employment medical, including drug and alcohol checks.
  • Applicants must have eligibility to work in Australia.
