About the Role
The Marketing Manager translates brand strategy and launch priorities into retailer-specific activation plans that drive consumer engagement, commercial performance, and omnichannel excellence. This role leads the development and execution of integrated Go-To-Market and trade marketing strategies across key retail partners, ensuring brand campaigns and launches are effectively adapted for local market execution. The role plays a critical part in delivering connected consumer experiences across in-store, online, and omnichannel environments.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute integrated Go-To-Market and trade activation strategies aligned to brand objectives, launch priorities, and retailer calendars.
- Translate global brand campaigns and launch strategies into retailer-specific activation plans tailored to local market and retailer requirements.
- Lead omnichannel activation planning across in-store, online, and retail media touchpoints.
- Ensure all retail activation activity aligns with brand positioning, campaign intent, and commercial priorities.
- Lead the execution of launch strategies across new product launches (NPL), hero franchises, and key commercial moments.
- Develop retailer launch toolkits, activation frameworks, and promotional plans that support visibility, conversion, and consumer engagement.
- Drive high traffic moment activations including seasonal campaigns, gifting moments, and retailer-specific opportunities.
- Support the delivery of sampling, gifting, retail events, and conversion-driving programmes across channels.
- Build strong partnerships with Sales, National Accounts, and retail partners to support aligned commercial execution.
- Collaborate closely with Consumer Engagement, Online, CRM, and Paid Media teams to ensure integrated omnichannel campaign delivery.
- Partner with Visual Merchandising, Creative Operations, and Education teams to support impactful retail execution and consumer experiences.
- Act as a key point of contact for retailer activation planning and campaign coordination.
- Monitor retail activation performance, campaign effectiveness, and commercial outcomes to identify optimisation opportunities.
- Analyse retailer, category, and consumer trends to inform future activation strategies and launch planning.
- Develop reporting frameworks and share insights, best practices, and recommendations with key stakeholders.
- Support forecasting, promotional planning, and launch readiness processes in partnership with global and local teams.
- Manage activation timelines, budgets, approvals, and operational processes to ensure seamless execution.
- Oversee agency and supplier relationships to deliver high-quality activation and retail marketing programmes.
- Ensure governance and consistency across retailer activation, promotional activity, and retail marketing standards.
Requirements
- Experience within trade marketing, retail marketing, Go-To-Market activation, or omnichannel marketing.
- Strong understanding of the UK & Ireland retail landscape and omnichannel consumer behaviours.
- Proven experience developing and executing retailer-specific activation strategies and launch programmes.
- Strong commercial awareness with the ability to balance brand equity and business performance objectives.
- Experience working cross-functionally across Sales, Brand, Online, Consumer Engagement, and Retail teams.
- Strong project management and operational planning capability with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret retailer performance, campaign metrics, and consumer insights.
- Great financial acumen.
- Experience managing agencies, suppliers, and activation budgets.
- Luxury, beauty, fashion, or premium consumer brand experience preferred.
