About the Role
Seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Supply Chain Professional to support end-to-end supply chain operations in the case goods/occasional category. This role involves cross-functional collaboration to ensure a seamless flow of products from suppliers to customers.
Responsibilities
- Analyze inventory on hand and on order to optimize stock flow.
- Monitor and forecast demand to prevent stockouts and overstocks.
- Plan purchases and distribution to maintain appropriate inventory levels.
- Collaborate with suppliers to monitor production and shipping windows for timely merchandise arrival.
- Communicate with suppliers and stores to resolve inventory issues and satisfy customers.
- Participate in updating and enhancing supply chain reporting tools and dashboards in Excel, AI, and the ERP system.
- Organize and maintain information related to the flow of goods in the system.
- Identify supply chain risks and recommend mitigation plans.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience with data-driven decision-making in logistics, procurement, and inventory management.
- Experience with furniture is valued.
- Post-secondary education, ideally related to supply chain or business.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency with Excel (pivot tables, XLOOKUP, etc.).
- Experience with ERP systems and supply chain planning tools.
- Familiarity with container freight and logistics is an asset.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to influence vendors and carriers.
- 5 years Canadian supply chain experience preferred.
- Experience in forecasting, ordering merchandise, and optimizing inventory.
- Strong Excel skills.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication in English.
- Ability to cope with the day-to-day pressures of Supply Chain.
