About the Role
Responsible for crafting and serving innovative cocktails, providing memorable experiences for guests, and contributing to menu updates.
Responsibilities
- Understand and respond to all guest needs and requests in a timely and professional manner.
- Extend a courteous, friendly, and professional greeting to guests.
- Be completely familiar with bar beverage menu and drink recipes.
- Provide properly mixed cocktails and other beverages.
- Prepare charcuterie & cheese boards.
- Assist with washing, drying, and restocking glassware & dishes.
- Understand or be willing to learn about classic & modern cocktails, spirits, house cocktails, and produce.
- Contribute ideas to update the beverage menu seasonally.
- Abide by state liquor service standards, prohibiting service to minors and intoxicated persons.
- Follow all opening and closing checklists for the bar.
- Review and verify previous shift’s inventory at the beginning of every shift.
- Handle cash correctly, including signing paid-out sheets, maintaining adequate cash in bank, giving correct change, ringing drinks through the POS system, and processing credit cards.
- Maintain adequate stock of beverages, supplies, and clean glassware.
- Be responsible for the security of beverage stock while on duty.
- Maintain the organization of the bar areas, including emptying trash.
- Check IDs when no Security Guard is on duty.
- Check the cleanliness of the guest restrooms every hour.
- Maintain the proper care and cleanliness of equipment.
- Represent and market Wildhawk Bar in a positive and professional manner.
- Promote the Bar internally and externally by attending special events and building relationships.
- Promote and comply with all policies and procedures of The PlumpJack Group.
- Immediately report all suspicious occurrences and hazardous conditions.
- Maintain the cleanliness and safety of work areas.
- Attend all mandatory meetings.
- Perform other tasks, including cross-training, as directed.
- Adhere to the attendance and punctuality policy.
Requirements
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience in a similar role.
- Must have current Food Handler Certificate.
- Must have Responsible Beverage Service Certificate that reviews all California liquor laws.
- Current CPR certification preferred.
- Must be flexible.
- Must work efficiently under pressure.
- Must be able to work in a noisy fast-paced bar environment.
- Detail oriented, organized, and efficient.
- Diplomatic and calm with strong verbal communication skills.
- Must be able to communicate with co-workers and guests in a courteous, friendly, and professional manner.
- Good team player.
