About the Role

Deliver product to customers in a safe, professional, and courteous manner, including invoicing and collecting payments. Maintain vehicle and ensure a clean working environment.

Responsibilities

• Operate a vehicle and deliver assigned orders.
• Maintain vehicle condition through regular inspections.
• Ensure vehicle safety and protect the load according to regulations.
• Maintain the cleanliness of the delivery truck interior.
• Manage customer relationships, collect payments, and reconcile invoices.
• Properly invoice deliveries and obtain necessary signatures and documentation.
• Perform duties safely by following established rules and regulations.
• Collaborate with Salesmen and Merchandisers to meet customer expectations.
• Deliver orders and put away product according to company standards.
• Contribute to team efforts to achieve results.
• Conduct safe and responsible interactions with the public.
• Handle products responsibly.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to read and comprehend instructions, correspondence, and memos.
• Ability to speak, write, and communicate in English.
• Must have a valid driver’s license with a good record.
• Must have access to a reliable vehicle.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a related area preferred.
• Demonstrate good communication skills with high levels of professionalism.
• Ability to multi-task, work independently and/or within a team.
• Ability to pay attention to detail and meet deadlines.
• Utilize sound judgement and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume, team environment.
• Regularly required to talk or hear, stand, walk, use hands and arms for reaching, and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
• Able to lift 50 lbs. and/or move up to 250 pounds.
• Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance, and color vision.
• Able to use a handcart and pallet jack.
• Frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts, common internal combustion fumes, ambient and refrigerated warehouse air, and airborne particles.
• Frequently exposed to outside weather conditions for extended periods.
• Occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions.
• Moderate noise level in the work environment.
